Apply to ORS

Undergraduate ECE students interested in ORS for 2026-27 may apply in spring 2026. You can apply to ORS and receive pay or credit.

In order to apply to ORS for 2026-27, attend one of the ORS in-person information sessions which will be held in Van Leer 283 from 11 AM – 12 PM on the following dates.

    • Tuesday, February 3, 2026
    • Tuesday, February 24, 2026
    • Thursday, March 12, 2026

Applications forms will be provided to eligible attendees of the information sessions and will be reviewed starting February 15th, 2026. After a first round of application screening, selected applicants will be required to attend an in-person interview for the second round before admissions decisions are made. We consider applications on a rolling basis and encourage you to apply early. Due to our limited capacity, admissions will close as soon as positions are filled.

Who is Eligible to Apply?
    • Current GT undergraduate ECE majors who are:

      • Motivated to conduct research
      • In good academic standing
      • Able to commit to a minimum of one program year, two consecutive semesters (fall to spring).
    • Students must be EE or CMPE majors at GT for the duration of their ORS enrollment (fall to spring) and must not be doing internships, study abroad or co-ops concurrently with their ORS enrollment.

Note: GT-ECE majors who are freshmen are eligible to apply to ORS starting spring semester of their freshmen year.
